Andrea is Teamworking International Ltd’s principal HR consultant and trainer. She has over 20 years experience across the private, public and voluntary sectors working in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Andrea works with Senior Management and HR teams enabling them to develop new policies and procedures and commit to new ways of working.
Andrea is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and has been Chair of the Gloucestershire Branch. Andrea is Certified in Leading Change through Action Research by the University of Gloucestershire.
Andrea has particular expertise in the fields of Competency Framework design (she is co-author of the award-winning Fenman publication, The Competencies Activity Pack). Andrea also specialises in Project Management and multi-cultural team development.
Recently Andrea has been working with a large voluntary organisation within the UK designing and delivering a suite of Project Management training courses starting at Board level and working throughout the strata of the organisation. She has also supported the organisation in building an HR Business Partnering Model and designing a transitioning project to implement it.
Andrea has extensive experience of working with multi-cultural teams in the GCC, for example in Abu Dhabi for GEC Marconi, in Dubai, delivering a programme on Competency Assessment and Profiling, in Bahrain in for a bank on Managing Performance through Objectives and in Kuwait for the Institute of Banking Studies on Setting and Measuring Key Performance Indicators. Andrea has also worked for Islamic Relief.
Mark is a banker with over 30 years experience in the corporate, retail and Islamic private banking sector. He is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers with distinctions in Trade Finance and winning the Whitehead Prize for Monetary Theory. Mark qualified with the CISI for the Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ). He is a Committee member of the CISI Islamic Finance Forum and addressed the inaugural meeting on “The Future of Islamic Banking”
Mark specialises in Islamic banking, investment management and financial consultancy in the UK, the GCC, the Far East and Africa. He advises and lectures on Islamic Banking & Finance, Risk Management in Islamic Finance, Credit Risk in Islamic Finance, Islamic Liquidity and Islamic International Trade Finance. He also lectures on International Banking Best Practice, Corporate Banking, Retail Banking, Bank Capital Management and Regulatory Arbitrage, SME Lending, Risk and Regulatory issues, Credit Risk Management, Client Relationship Management and Trade Finance.
Mark joined Lloyds Bank on an accelerated management programme and was appointed one of the first managers in the bank’s Corporate Banking Division, offering relationship managers to the bank’s largest corporate clients. His duties included investment appraisals, credit risk approval and valuations of individual companies and sectors.
During the 1980s Mark was appointed as one of the youngest Lloyds London City branch managers specialising in retail client business as well as international bank clients and money market institutions. He played a leading part in the launch of the American Express Gold Card. He was then appointed as one of the first Commercial Service managers, offering senior relationship managers to middle market retail business and private clients. As a senior corporate manager, Mark was responsible for the credit allocation, management, treasury, banking and investment requirements of the bank’s largest clients.
Mark later served as a main board director of Granville Holdings Plc, specialising in high net worth individuals. His responsibilities included Islamic finance initiatives, managing the credit exposures, the loan portfolio and recoveries management as well as advising small and medium corporate clients.
Andy has specialist skills in conflict resolution, communication skills and presentation skills that have benefited multinational companies worldwide, increasing productivity and sales, promoting change, leadership, teamwork and employee effectiveness.
Andy’s twenty years management and consulting experience has benefitted organisations in the UK, Middle East, USA, Europe and Russia. Among his prestigious clients he includes the World Bank, Gulf Bank, the United Nations, Qatar Airways, British Council, Siemens, GlaxoSmithKline, World Wildlife Fund, St Petersburg University, Sony, PepsiCo and ExxonMobil.
Andy’s background in psychology, education and training has enabled him to develop unique and creative ways for enabling people to make behavioural shifts. He utilises an innovative and pragmatic approach alongside his extensive specialist skills. He uses the latest insights in communication and organisational psychology to enable people to work more effectively, and to create a productive and effective workforce whilst eradicating negative and dysfunctional behaviour.
As an executive coach, Andy enjoys seeing people take ownership for finding solutions to meet their needs, build on their success and stay on top in a competitive world. His coaching strengths are being objective, warm and principled, encouraging self-reliance through thoughtful analysis of others’ needs and nurturing the growth of others. Andy qualified with the International Coach Federation.
Stephen has been a trainer and management developer as well as an HR Director of UK based professional practices so he brings line management experience and leading edge thinking to his programmes. Central to his approach is realising an individual’s potential for growth and being authentic in the process. His training style, heavily influenced by his coaching work, is very direct and individual focused reflecting the fact that course attendees bring much experience to the workshop, which Stephen draws out in a very interactive way.

He is considered to be a leading authority on his subject and was recently asked to Judge the prestigious UK National Sales Awards for 2005. He is also contributing to the government-sponsored body, the MCCCB, involved in setting national standards for Sales throughout the UK.
